Tuna Patties
Tuna patties are known for their crispy exterior and tender, flavorful interior, a combination that makes them a joy to eat. They can be easily customized with spices, herbs, and even vegetables, so they never get boring. Plus, they’re an excellent alternative to traditional beef or chicken patties if you’re looking to incorporate more seafood into your diet.
These patties bring bold flavor, healthy fats, and an impressive protein profile to the table. They are quick, versatile, and incredibly satisfying.
Another great thing about tuna patties is that they’re very budget friendly. Canned tuna, the most common choice, is affordable and readily available, making it a practical protein option for those trying to eat healthy on a budget. You can use tuna packed in oil or water, it’s really a matter of personal preference.
Will my tuna patties fall apart?
No. This is a full proof recipe.
- Make sure you drain the tuna well
- If you are using large chunks of tuna, make sure to break them.
- Instead of egg, the boiled potato will act as a binder and give the patties a crispy exterior.
- Cook these patties in a nonstick skillet otherwise it will stick.
Storing Leftovers
You can keep the leftovers in the fridge, in an airtight container, for up to 3-4 days. It can be reheated in the microwave.
These patties can be assembled approximately 3-4 hours in advance, refrigerated and cooked just prior to serving.
Give this recipe a go and you’ll be amazed at how cans of tuna fish can make such delicious patties!
