Chicken Sliders

Chicken sliders are quick, easy to make, a crowd pleaser and a super filling. Perfect for potlucks, picnics, road trips, parties and a life saver for me on days I don’t feel like cooking.

Ingredients:

They are very versatile and easily adaptable. Let’s break down the ingredients:

Ingredients for chicken sliders

Shredded chicken: you can use leftover roasted chicken or fried chicken. Alternatively, you can boil chicken breasts with salt and garlic, and then shred it.

Seasonings: For the best results, it’s advisable to add additional seasoning to the chicken, even if you’re using roasted or fried chicken – it adds tons of flavors. Add ketchup, BBQ sauce, or your favorite hot sauce to make it spicy or you can add finely minced pickles for more tangy bites! Whatever your preference is, just make sure not to use too much as you don’t want the sauce to be dripping everywhere.

Buns. You can use Hawaiian rolls or burger buns. If using Hawaiian rolls, you will need to slice them half lengthwise. Place the bottom half on the baking tray.

If using burger buns, separate the bottom part and line it on a baking tray. The tops of the rolls or buns are placed once you have added your fillings. For this recipe, I brush the tops of the buns with an amazing garlic butter seasoned with salt, black pepper and parsley. This adds a lot of flavor to the buns/rolls and gives a crispy shell texture after it comes out of the oven.

Cheese: Use your favorite cheese, whether it is shredded or in whole cheese slices. The cheese after melting helps hold the filling and gives the slider an irresistible cheese pull!

Additional: Feel free to add lettuce, finely sliced red onions, dill pickles, etc.

Guess what! If you want to prepare a small quantity or you don’t want to turn on the oven, you can also air fry these sliders.

There is no need to even preheat the air fryer!

The time required is much shorter compared to an oven, and the results are amazing

The great thing about these chicken sliders is that you can make them completely ahead of time!

Just make the recipe right up until the baking part, cover tightly with foil and keep refrigerated. When ready to eat, bake them in the oven as directed.

You can store leftovers in the refrigerator and warm them up the next day.
