Creamy Fruit Cocktail Dessert

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup thick cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup yogurt (strained)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry jelly powder
  • 1 tin fruit cocktail (about 2 cups) (completely drained)
  • 2 cups Cool Whip or 1/4 cup whipping cream whipped until stiff peaks
  • 1/4 cup crushed walnuts/pistachio/almonds (optional)

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl combine thick cream, mayonnaise, yogurt, sugar and jelly powder and whisk for at least 2 minutes.
  • Add the nuts (if using) and give it a mix.
  • Now add the Cool Whip/ whipped cream and FOLD gently. You don’t want to deflate it.
  • Finally add the drained fruit cocktail and FOLD it.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  1. Adding jelly powder will intensify the flavor of the dessert and will prevent it from turning watery.
  2. Place the cocktail in a strainer for at least 5 minutes to drain it completely.
