Sikanji (Mint Lemonade)

Ingredients
  

  • cup mint leaves
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon black salt (kala namak)
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 cup ice

Instructions
 

  • In a blender, add 1 cup water followed by mint leaves, sugar, lemon juice, black salt and blend.
  • Then add in the remaining 4 cups of water and ice and blend one more time.
  • Pour into serving glasses and serve cold.

Notes

Blending mint leaves initially with 1 cup water helps break the leaves and dissolve the sugar completely.
